Why report status cannot be changed after the report is generated

Problem Statement:

If a user had set the report status to ‘Fail’ by mistake and the user wants the status to be changed to ‘Pass’.

Response:

Unfortunately, for compliance-related reasons, there is no way to change the status of a report after the report has already been created.

That being said, if the user has the documents that he/she used in the inspection, he/she can technically just produce another report with the preferred status. There is little we can do, however, if the user no longer has the documents originally used for the inspection.

Another workaround, though, might be for the user to put comments explaining the status-related discrepancy into the created PDF report file, but that would fall outside our responsibilities.
