What do we use a Color Chart and a Pantone Color Swatch for in GVD?

Question: What do we use a Color Chart and a Pantone Color Swatch for in GVD?

Answer:

Color Chart: A Color Chart is used to color calibrate a scanner and create the ICC profile. It is called “Colorchecker Digital SG” which is purchased with a color calibration service where the Production Team will use this color chart to create the ICC profile so that the scanner can detect Pantone colors.

Pantone Color Swatch: A Pantone Color Swatch is a validation tool used for Performance Qualification (PQ) tests. It is scanned to verify the color accuracy of the GV color tool and that Color Inspection identifies variations in color.
