GVD Error - Warning Problem running post-install step. Password authentication failed

Issue: I am trying to install GlobalVision and I receive the error “Warning - Problem running post-install step. Installation may not complete correctly Error running psql.exe --username=postgres : psql: FATAL: password authentication failed for user “postgres”.

Troubleshooting: To eliminate the possibility that the error is not with the executable, install GVD on another hardware. Preferably one that is off the network, has administrative rights, no firewalls, and no antivirus.

Resolution:

The issue is related to a configuration/permission setting on the workstation. The onsite IT needs to investigate the permission issue and make the required changes. GlobalVision does not have the ability to change internal security requirements without the permission and collaboration of the onsite IT.
