AI Inspection Engine - FAQs

Do you use AI?

Yes.

Beneath Verify is our AI inspection engine, which is our proprietary set of algorithms that understands documents, processes them through our AI algorithms, and improves over time. It uses a blend of many AI technologies like computer vision, natural language processing, machine learning, and large language models, to perform many sub-tasks part of Verify like, extracting text, classifying document types, locating key elements such as barcodes, matching components for comparison in different formats, and filtering out low-confidence and low-relevance results.

Do your algorithms improve over time?

Yes.

We measure our performance across a large dataset of our history and files to ensure that our results improve over time.

However, there will always be some inspections with worse results than average due to file issues and edge cases.

Is our data safe?

Yes.

We are ISO 27001 certified, and we take great caution to ensure that we take the right measures to ensure your data is secure.

Do you use my data to improve your algorithms?

Yes.

Our data set is used to continuously measure our algorithm’s performance and improve it over time to make our results more accurate and intelligent. This is stipulated in our agreements.

Is my data used for third-party AI training?

No.

Your data is not used to improve any of our vendors’ models. We ensure our contracts with our vendors do not allow for this.

Indicate which type of AI is used as part of services/products and which tasks it performs

Our platform leverages a combination of Predictive AI and Generative AI to support document proofreading workflows:

  • Predictive AI is used in processes such as OCR and image recognition to extract and interpret content from files, including scanned or image-based documents.

  • Generative AI (including large language models) is used to analyze document differences and determine if changes are likely intentional. When applicable, the system generates human-readable explanations to assist in review.

These capabilities help automate content validation, reduce manual effort, and improve consistency in document analysis.

Is the OCR considered Generative AI

Optical character recognition (OCR) is NOT generative in nature. It is a third-party tool with post-processing logic that we developed. It does not drive decision-making without human involvement; it enables the processing of our customers’ workflows for files that are flattened. This tool is not trained on customer files. It is leveraged whenever a Verify user clicks the OCR button
