NextImage software does not complete the full-scan

Issue: I am scanning samples using our Contex scanner and NextImage (the scanner software) stops in the middle of a scan.

Troubleshooting:

  1. Verify the scanner software versions: NextImage, WideSystem, and firmware.

  2. Do not upgrade the scanner software if the GVD application is validated.

  3. If the system is validated, check for other possible causes before updating the scanner software versions.

  4. Check with different Windows accounts. See if the issue persists using a different account.

  5. Check for any pending Windows updates.

Resolution(s):

  1. If the system is NOT validated, upgrade the 3 scanner software to the latest version.

  2. If the issue does not exist under another Windows account, this means that the Windows profile originally used is unusable. It may be corrupted. Create a new Windows account.

  3. If there is any Windows update pending, allow the update to complete and reboot. We have seen NextImage performance issues when there are Windows updates pending.
