Enable Nextimage Manual Alignment
What Does This Feature Do?
Use the “Nextimage manual alignment” feature when the sample does not have defined edges and the Nextimage scanner software cannot auto-align, use the measurement tool to trace a reference point on the artwork and select “Apply” to the “Align to Measure Line” function to straighten the image.
Why Use this Feature?
If you do not use the measurement tool correctly, the artwork will be misaligned, which can lead to missed errors. By enabling Nextimage manual alignment, if auto-alignment fails, you can correct the skewed image and ensure all errors are detected.
When To Use It
When the scanned image is slightly skewed and needs minor rotational adjustments
When you need to define the reference point to effectively straighten the image
When working with inserts, using the manual alignment tool will help identify the small differences such as missing periods and commas
When Not To Use It
When auto-alignment works successfully
