Different Grouping + Desired DPI

What Does This Feature Do?

Difference Grouping

This feature sets a radius of pixels within which all detected differences will be grouped as one, and represents the minimum distance from one difference to another.

Desired DPI

This feature reminds the user to change the application’s resolution DPI to the Desired DPI when using the selected profile.

Why Use this Feature?

Difference Grouping

Use this feature when you are getting too many small differences that are close to one another. This setting can be increased to group differences together and reduce the overall difference count.

Desired DPI

Use when scanning at a different DPI from your selected GVD profile.

When To Use It

  • To reduce the General Grouping settings if one large box is displayed, highlighting the entire artwork as a difference.

  • Use when scanning at a different DPI from your selected GVD profile.

When Not To Use It

  • There may be multiple differences in a large box that users may overlook during inspections if the Grouping is set to high.

Expert Tips

Difference Grouping Tips:

  • Turn on this feature when using a large grouping number which helps identify the differences within a box.

Use Desired DPI Tip:

  • Although the maximum Desired DPI value is 1200 DPI, 600 DPI is sufficient enough for graphic inspections that have fine details

Note: The higher the DPI, the longer the inspection time.
