Cropping Best Practices
What Does This Feature Do?
The “cropping feature” allows you to select and crop specific areas of the artwork to be inspected when the master and sample files have different layouts.
Why Use this Feature?
It is best practice for the Master and Sample to be as close to a match as possible. Using the cropping feature helps increase the accuracy of scans and inspections. Be sure to also use this feature if the dieline is not there or cannot be used to select the inspection area.
When To Use It
When there is no dieline or if it is not possible to be used
When getting one large difference box
When the layout is different
Expert Tips
Use the crop tool if there are no dielines available to select an area
The cropped area on the Master file has to be smaller than the Sample for automatic detection
