AutoVal - Site Prep Guide
This document contains the steps required to prepare the Customer Environment and make sure it is ready for AutoVal execution ✅
By following the steps described below, we ensure to:
Verify that remote access can be established from GlobalVision PC to the customer’s PC using Zoom,
Verify that the AutoVal program can be executed on the customer’s PC through a remote connection.
Requirements for Successful AutoVal Execution
Zoom
Please make sure that Zoom is installed for executing AutoVal through remote access.
The connection will be tested to ensure connection is available between the GlobalVision and the customer’s PC.
Local Admin Access
Please make sure that Administrator rights are available on the PC, such that remote access and program installation/execution may be performed properly during AutoVal setup and testing.
Please ensure Administrator rights are available for the machine as the testing process requires admin access.
GVD is installed for the version that should be tested
GVD will be installed in the chosen location.
AutoVal app is installed for the version that should be tested
Please be aware that the AutoVal running tool will be installed on the PC.
Adobe Acrobat Reader
Please make sure that Adobe Acrobat Reader is the main PDF editor.
Notifications
Please make sure that notifications are disabled for the duration of AutoVal testing.
Background Apps
Please make sure that background applications and processes are disabled for the duration of AutoVal testing. These background processes are especially known to cause issues during the validation process:
User Access Control (UAC)
Windows UAC should be disabled temporarily for the execution of the application to prevent Administrator security prompts from interfering with the execution. This change does require a reboot of the system and is subject to approval from IT.
AntiVirus Background Processing
Please ensure security software is paused or otherwise disabled during execution as this can conflict and prevent a success full execution.
Whitelisting AutoVal application may be attempted, if that’s the preferred course of action, however it does not guarantee that the validation execution will be successful.
Screen, Resolution, Layout Settings
Please be aware that Screen, Resolution, and Layout settings might be changed temporarily for the duration of AutoVal testing.
Screen resolution needs to be set to 1920x1080 for optimal AutoVal execution.
