Use a die-line in a separate layer and unique color

Risk

A valid content may not be detected when used in a die-line layer.

Issues

A valid content that disappears when using the die-line layer will be used to mask the area surrounding the label or package.

Solution

Dos:

✅ Use Die-line only in a unique layer. 

✅ Apply a unique color to the Die-line.

✅ Use a different color to design a crease.

✅ Standardize on the layer name to a comprehensive naming (Die-Line, crease...).

Don’ts:

❌ Mix the valid content within the Die-line layer.

❌ Use the color of the dieline same as any color object in the document.
