Layers and separation that are not affecting each other when one is disabled

Risk

Valid content will not be detected when included in inactive layers.

Issues

When hiding one layer such as die-cut or varnish, another valid content is also disabled hence cannot be inspected by the proofreading software.

Example

Solution

Dos:

✅ Use Valid Content in separate layers.

✅ Standardize in layers.

✅ Standardize on the name to a Comprehensive Name.

✅ Use Dieline in a unique layer.

Don’ts:

❌ Mix content with Die-line or information layers.

❌ Use the same value color of the dieline and varnish in Valid Contents.
