How do I get rid of static when scanning the SD1 flatbed scanner?

Packaging made with very thin plastic will cause static. With the GlobalVision SD1 scanner, you can use a transparent sleeve to eliminate glare and static from your packaging. 

1. Fold the sleeve at the top, leaving a corner bent for easy lifting.

2. Place the edges of your packaging inside the fold. 

3. Press down lightly to flatten the packaging and remove any creases.

To completely remove static before the inspection, use static spray to ensure that the packaging will not move while in the scanner.

You may also eliminate static by using static wire which goes under the sample. As it moves into the scanner, the wire will absorb all the static before the packaging is inspected.
