  4. Support for Inspection Modules

The following table further outlines these changes:

AE 20.1

AE 21

Licensing

  • GlobalVision has recently introduced a new licensing model that will allow for better usage control and inspection counts, as well as the added benefit of simpler activation.

  • The initial release will be licensed in our current system. This system does not limit inspections, but it tracks the number of inspections.

Inspection Tracking

  • Inspection are tracked using the Esko Counter

  • The GlobalVision configure panel in the Pilot will no longer show the task inspection count

  • GlobalVision will generate monthly reports via the License Manager to capture usage.

  • The roadmap for the process is for it to become automated using API calls.

Profile Management

  • The ‘Profile Editor’ was provided to Esko as a separate tool used for managing profiles.

  • GlobalVision Desktop SDK is leveraged for management of profiles.

Support for GV Modules

  • All modules are accessible and supported.

  • All modules remain accessible.

  • Barcode and Artwork inspections are accessible and supported.

  • There will be no further development for Text, Spell and Braille modules.
