Esko Automation Engine 21 - Integration Guide
Summary
This section describes the steps to follow for ESKO AE.
1. Pricing
Packages are sold based on Inspections per Month:

There is also a one-time Onboarding package fee.
The price of onboarding is $3500 (USD) per site:
Includes 1 license of GVD (for profile creation)
Includes integration
Includes up to 3 custom profiles based on client samples
*must be used within 10 business days of the installationIncludes 1 training session of up to 2 hours for all required modules
Includes 1 follow up training session of up to 1 hour
*must be used within 20 business days of the installationIncludes all project coordination time.
3. Purchasing GlobalVision modules for Esko
There are two ways GlobalVision can be purchased in Esko.
Option #1 - Purchase through GlobalVision.

4. License
The serial number will be provided to Esko for the licensed customer.
The license will be activated by navigating to Tools → Configure → GlobalVision within Automation Engine Pilot and Entering the serial number followed by a colon and their Company ID (no spaces).
--For SAAS integrations, this will be performed by Esko--
Example: XXXX-1234-XXXXXXXXX-12-123:Company

5. Profiles
Default Profiles will be leveraged directly from GVD. This has effectively replaced the Profile Editor.
6. Profile Integration
How to create add a new profile to an AE workflow
Login to GVD and select ‘Manage’ from the ‘Profile’ dropdown:
Click on one of the default profile from the list to select it and click ‘Copy’ at the top of the window
Name the profile
Choose your newly created profile from the ‘Profile’ dropdown and click the gear wheel to the right to make required adjustments.
This step will require loading files into the software and running inspections. See the User Guide for more details.Select ‘Manage’ from the ‘Profile’ dropdown
Click on the profile you have customized to select it and click ‘Export’ at the top of the window:
Save the profile to the desired location.
Copy the profile back to the Automation Engine server.
Right click on the profile dropdown in the ‘Inspect Artwork’ module and select ‘Upload’
Browse to the directory where the updated profile was placed to select it:
How to customize an existing profile
Open the ‘Inspect Artwork’ module within a workflow.
Select the profile you would like to modify from the ‘Profile’ dropdown'
Select the ‘Save to Downloads Folder’ option
Go to your downloads folder and move the profile you have downloaded to the workstation where GVD resides.
Login to GVD and select ‘Manage’ from the Profile dropdown
Select ‘Import’ and browse to the profile to select and import it.
Modify the profile settings as required.

7. Graphic Module Configuration
The following steps will outline how to configure the ‘Inspect Artwork’ module to both ignore Inks and Layers and use an ink or layer on the Master file for cropping:
Select the ‘Sample’ file:

Choose the workflow to be configured:

Double-click the ‘Inspect Artwork’ module:

Click on the first small icon located at the right of the ‘Ignore Inks’ field:

Hold down the CTRL key and select all inks that should be ignored from the file and click ‘OK’:

Repeat for the ‘Ignore Layers’ field
Click File > Save Ticket in the workflow.
Click ‘OK’ to confirm the overwrite
Close the workflow
10. Select the ‘Master’ file and choose the same workflow.
11. Double-click the ‘Inspect Artwork’ module:

12. Select the ‘Region’ dropdown and select ‘Shape’:

13. Click the ‘Options’ button to the right to configure the ‘Region Options’:

14. Select the ‘Inks’ or ‘Layers’ radio button based on which will contain the (die line) to be used for cropping the file and click the small icon to the right of the field:

15. Select the name of the Ink/Layer and click ‘OK’
16. The name will be populated in the field. Click ‘OK’ again

17. Repeat steps 4 to 6 for additional Inks/Layers to be ignored based on the Master file.
18. Save and close the ticket
